About The Yin Yang House
The Yin Yang House Twin Cities Acupuncture and Wellness Center is the primary clinic of the Yin Yang House founder, Chad Dupuis. The clinic strives to offer a wide range of services and educational/training opportunities to encourage long-term (and ideally self-maintained) health and wellness.
The Yin Yang House, through the various clinics and educational outreach arms, has been sharing the wealth of knowledge and techniques within Chinese Medicine and helping people since 1999. We strive to offer best in class, common sense approaches to help people build and maintain their own health and wellbeing.
Founder / Practitioner
Chad Dupuis, L.Ac., Dipl.Ac.
Acupuncturist / Owner
Chad has over 20 years of experience in helping people of all ages with nearly any set of of physical and/or mental health issues. Voted the "best of the best" acupuncturist by his many thousands of patients, many years in a row, at the clinic he founded in Chattanooga before he returned with his wife and two young boys to the midwest.
He utilizes a range of techniques tailored to each individual patient, drawing heavily from the founder of Tong Ren Therapy, Master Tom Tam, whom he has studied with, worked with, and continues to learn from for three decades.
He is a perpetual student, prolific writer, and explorer who shares his knowledge freely through the Yin Yang House website. His site has helped teachers, practitioners, and the general public alike explore the foundations and workings of Chinese Medicine and associated systems.
He is also an avid meditator and qigong/tai chi practitioner who has studied and taught for over 30 years. He offers classes utilizing these techniques to help his patients improve their health.
Services
Acupuncture is used worldwide both as a primary and complementary form of medical treatment. The list of conditions that acupuncture may help is essentially limitless. The most common conditions are:
- allergies/asthma
- headaches
- anxiety/depression
- fertility/labor induction
- neurological conditions
- pain anywhere in the body
Tuina is an effective form of bodywork that follows the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Particular to our clinic it is heavily utilized within the context of the Tom Tam Healing System of structural/energetic "blockages" along the neck and spine that contribute to health issues.
We offer a range of qigong and Yang style Tai Chi courses to help you gain tools and awareness to improve your own health and grow along a more sustainable path.
In conjunction with an "acupuncture" appointment we will make Chinese herbal medicine, dietary and lifestyle recommendations tailored to your specific needs. We offer a large range of Chinese Herbal Medicine and natural health products available through our online store (shipped from our Chattanooga center).
Fees
- Private Acupuncture Treatment $90
- Note that a "private acupuncture treatment" may include tuina, herbal medicine recommendations and other adjunctive therapies such as cupping and moxibustion as appropriate. There is never a fee for additional services. Herbal medicine purchased from our clinic is an additional fee, for most patients it is $15-$30 for a 1 month supply.
- Community Clinic Acupuncture Treatment Sliding $40-$60
- Community clinics are performed in an open space after a private consultation and are a more "basic" form of treatment. Due to timing and situational constraints, tuina and other forms of therapy such as cupping are rarely offered in this setting. Herbal medicine recommendations may also be made and herbal medicine purchases are an additional fee if you purchase them from our clinic.
- Qigong / Tong Ren Therapy Classes By Donation
- Yang Style Tai Chi Classes $60 / month
